Find the right wash instructions for your exact resin, medium and method without inventing a universal wash time.
By the Resin Wash Bench team · Checked 2026-10-25
There is no single wash time for every resin print. Match resin product and version, approved wash liquid, and washing method before using a figure.
A sourced example, with its limits
The Anycubic Standard Resin V2 technical sheet states a wash duration of at least 3 minutes in a wash-and-cure station. Its user instructions specify IPA of at least 95% concentration. That is a statement for Standard Resin V2 and that method, not a target for every Anycubic resin or a manual jar wash. Checked 25 October 2026.
What to check when a wash is disappointing
Check
What to record
Resin identity
Exact bottle name and revision, not just “standard”
Washing liquid
Product, concentration and whether the maker approves it
Method
Agitated station, brush or another documented method
Total time
Include repeat cycles rather than logging each in isolation
Geometry
Recesses, channels and places that retain liquid
Longer is not automatically better. Prusa's CW1/S guidance warns that extended washing can cause small cracks. Its limit applies to the workflow it describes; do not use it to overrule another resin maker's instructions. Checked 25 October 2026.
When no matching row exists
Open the resin maker's current guide or ask its support team. Do not borrow the time from a product with a similar colour or marketing name. The time guide keeps sourced rows separate, and the complete workflow explains the drying and curing steps that follow.
