Keep a disappointing part in the handling area until you have checked the process. A sticky surface, crack or colour change does not identify one universal cause or prove the part only needs more UV.

Work through the record

Check Question
Material Did the bottle name and version match the instructions?
Wash Was the liquid approved, and was total washing time recorded?
Geometry Could recesses or hollow areas retain liquid?
Drying Was the specified drying stage completed?
Curing Was the documented device and schedule used?

Separate observed problems from guesses

Prusa's CW1/S guidance associates excessive washing with small cracks and notes that residual washing liquid combined with resin can produce white marks. These are maker-specific troubleshooting points, not a diagnosis of every cracked or white part. Checked 25 October 2026.

Formlabs' washing workflow asks users to check cavities for retained liquid and fully dry parts before post-curing. Revisit those steps before changing an unrelated setting. Checked 25 October 2026.

When to ask the manufacturer

If your recorded process matches the current resin instructions but the result remains wrong, send the maker the product version, equipment, wash liquid, total times and a photograph. Ask specifically about the part's geometry and finish. Avoid substituting another resin's schedule.

The wash and cure time guide keeps source rows distinct. It does not infer a repair from appearance or calculate an invented cure time. For material you will discard, use the resin waste guide.
