Check the manual before comparing a headline tank size. Washing volume, basket space, build-plate compatibility and curing space answer different questions.

Make a specification checklist

Specification What it should answer
Maximum part dimensions Does your actual model fit in both operating modes?
Basket dimensions Can smaller parts be held without escaping or crowding?
Plate compatibility Is your exact build plate supported?
Approved wash liquids Does the machine permit your resin maker's cleaning medium?
Fill markings What working amount does the manual require?
Curing device Does its documented wavelength and method match the material instructions?
Replacement parts Can you obtain the tank, lid, basket and wear parts?

Controls are not material settings

The ability to set a long wash cycle does not mean it is appropriate for your material. Prusa describes adjustable washing, drying and curing runtimes, while Formlabs directs users to material-specific washing settings. Checked 25 October 2026.

Leave room for handling

Measure space above the lid and around the lifting basket, then allow a separate location for drying and clean parts. Work out how you will close, move and store the washing tank without carrying an open container through the house. Consult the machine's cleaning and maintenance instructions before purchase.

Keep a copy of the product manual and the resin guide together. If either changes, revisit the workflow rather than relying on a retailer's summary. The wash and cure time guide is a source lookup, not a compatibility guarantee.
